A little bit of
history... About 1925
this building was a Roadhouse and Service station. It was owned by two people by the name of Kline & Fetkenhour. They
profited by selling gasoline as well as pie & ice cream! Around
1936 the owners added on to the building. During 1950, George & Mary Hrivnak purchased
the establishment. Between 1953 & 1955 Mary married John Kaleita and the two of
them took over the business. In 1983 Maria's Lovers, a movie featuring stars such as John Goodman, Natasha Kinski & Robert Michum, was filmed here. And, in 1986, Bob Sepesy and his wife Loretta purchased the business. They
decided the building needed a facelift and over time remodeled it to be the High Point you know today.
Stop by and enjoy the spectacular view and a great
meal!
