Way back in the late 1930's George Sepesy owned and operated a butcher shop. It was then and there that the recipe for the sausage was created. His famous saying, "Once tried, never denied" is still heard throughout the Mon Valley. People who have tried the well-know sausage during the days of Sepesy's Tavern venture to High Point in search of our secret recipe sausage. Dubbed with the name, Sausage Special, the sandwich is loaded with fried onions & mushrooms, topped with pepperoni, pizza sauce and covered with melted provolone cheese. Others prefer to eat the sausage plain, hence the name you'll hear when dining at High Point, Pap Pap sausage. This name, given by Bob's grandchildren, holds true and it is still the best "Pap Pap" sausage around.
Why don't you try some today and see what everyone's talking about!
